20-0! Best start ever!

We are still rockin' and rollin'! 5 weeks into the season and still undefeated. This is by far the best Realty 1 Professionals team we have EVER had! It will be interesting

to see if we can pull off a completely undefeated season. We have some tough matches coming up, so we'll find out.

The boys have looked great so far. Terry is putting ever set in the sweet spot (or using his famous punch to the back corner). And Grant is obliging by pounding it in the exact same spot on the floor (front right inside the 10-foot line, of course). If he ever learns to hit cross court, he will be extremely dangerous (not that he isn't dangerous already). Chris is hammering cross-court consistly, getting the job done. And I am just trying to get the ball down.....however, I gotta do it. I do love that fact that we are consistly running great plays, shoots, slots, mixin' up positions, giving the competition different looks.....what a BLAST!

You Make the Call!!!

Back in the early 1990's on Saturday morning, there was a show called "This Week in Baseball". Each week they had a clip called "You Make The Call" where they would replay a play where had to figure out the correct call according to the official rules. I LOVED THOSE!

Well, here is my Fair Play version of You Make The Call! Please review the 4 second video clip and vote on whether you think this was a "Legal" or "Illegal" play. I have actually no idea, because I have seen teams vehemently agrue both ways. Can you redirect the ball down or does it have to be a straight up "block"? Keep in mind that this would be Men's Four's Rules (not Sixes). Please leave you reason why you voted a certiain way in the "Comments". Thanks!

My Swing.....Analyzed.

I guess they felt my swing was so dangerous to other players that they wanted to analyze my swing to make sure that I didn't have any bionic parts to me. They hooked me up to all kinds of electrodes and doo-dads, and they told me to take a normal volleyball swing. This is what I look like with no skin on:



I came to find out that Fair Play was more concerned about their fans due to my massive shanks into the stands. It was all a false alarm, because they rated my swing somewhere between an eight year old girl and Clay Aiken.

Undefeated! 12-0!

Realty 1 Professional Volleyball is in full swing and couldn't be going any better. Everyone has contributed to this effort, and we are having a BLAST!!! 12-0 thus far in the season. Could it be the year for an undefeated season? We'll see. Here are the current standings:

The New Crew

Oh no! Now we've gone and done it. Yeah, we've put together the best Fair Play team that I have EVER played on. That's right! I am SO looking forward to this season!

Meet the new crew:

Terry "My Sets Are Just" Wright has been one of the best things to happen to this team. Terry played last year, but he played several different positions. Now, he is our setter.....and only setter. He puts it right in the sweet spot, and that is exactly what this team needed.

Our newest acquisition, Chris "Cross The Court" Cole (say that 10 times fast), has been quite the pick up. Puttin' it down from the strong side is his forte, and this marriage newb still can sky.....even with the ball and chain. Lookin' for good things from him this season.

Grant "Huh? There's a LEFT side of the court?" Zimmerman is getting better each season. My boy has got ups that won't quick and one of the biggest blocks in the league. This middle man couldn't pass to save his life....but man can he pound! Grant's favorite phrases: "Your face is a ___________ (insert the last noun that someone just said)!" and "I'm not a fan."

And last but not least, the weakside specialist, Kyle "32" Zimmerman, nicknamed after his favorite play. He is a quiet contributor with an occasional hammer, but he just loves the game. He thinks he has a jump serve.....but he also still believes in the tooth fairy. Here's a action shot from last season.
